Sourcing at an Antique Show in the South of France

This week I headed to Montpellier for one of the region’s big professional antique shows, a gathering spot for dealers from all over France. I went with a mission in mind: sourcing just the right elements for one of our upcoming Couleur Nature photo shoot. We’re about to launch a new collection of painted ceramics, and I want to set them on a farm table with history in its grain, wood that shows its age with character. I’m also hunting for timeworn pots with a beautiful patina and a few risers or small stools to bring dimension and height to the table. The show is a treasure trove, and the thrill is in finding those pieces that feel just right.
